MAIA 7 STRINGS (english)

Among the most important works completed in May, there is surely MAIA, a preeminent, elegant guitar, where no detail is overlooked.

It is the fruit of a study and research effort in order to obtain the ideal compromise between sound, aesthetics, and versatility.
MAIA is born to meet the desire and the needs of guitarists playing chorus, bossa nova, fado, samba and many more
Equipped with the Seventh Strings, which is more severe than Mi bass and usually accords in Si or Do,
The potential is endless to give the sound an even more pleasant acoustic completeness.

The shape is now consolidated MPC, my Florentine, with a very original, ergonomic and elegant missing shoulder. The hole slightly larger than a normal
Ropes has a rosette inlaid with Koa, maple, ebony woods.
The top is in cedar while the keyboard, as can be learned from the photo, is Makassar ebony mirror, has 22 keys and the hang is on the 12th key.

back and side are in Brazilian rosewood, excellent wood but more and more difficult to find.
I claim that I have always been against the use of very well-painted woods, simply because they distribute the tensions in a disorderly way and I do not think this is good at the acoustic level,

The headstock I believe is a true masterpiece, the result of hard work where I have chosen to build a will to ensure greater stability. Neck is also made up of five pieces that can see a piece of 3 mm central rosewood and symmetrically arranged two pieces of maple and two mahogany all longitudinally

The bridge is in ebony with my classical shape and from this guitar model I have introduced, to fix the string, a sealing system that avoids wrapping around the castle ensuring perfect seal and pitch. These are small pieces of wood made for oc so that the strings can be made in it. This solution is available on request, even at a later date

I've been tested, too, the back-up compensation system is a guarantee, after so many tools I have found that the performance is really satisfying by making the intonation a pleasure and not an obsession.

The paintwork is nitrocellulose, distributed so as to obtain a very thin film which guarantees a pleasant appearance to the sight, without betraying the natural acoustic expectations of the wood.

All in all I think MAIA is really a great tool but the biggest satisfaction is when, by the way, I came across with a great American lithograph Bill Collings ..
Mr Collings has been able to see Maia, not resenting in confessing that she is a great job, she has appreciated the aesthetic and acoustic qualities and complimented me.
This was a fantastic experience for me
